Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe and Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you’ll be met and transferred to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Depending on your choice, you can take a scenic road transfer, which takes approximately 8-10 hours, or a domestic flight if available. Upon arrival, check in at your lodge or camp near Bwindi. Enjoy dinner and relax after your journey, taking in the lush surroundings.
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Start your day with an early breakfast and then head to the park headquarters for a briefing on gorilla trekking. After the briefing, set out on your trek through Bwindi’s dense forest to locate and spend time with the mountain gorillas. This exhilarating experience allows you to observe and photograph these magnificent creatures up close. Return to your lodge for lunch and relaxation. In the afternoon, you may opt for a guided nature walk or visit a local community. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at your lodge.
Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast, depart for Queen Elizabeth National Park, which is approximately a 2-3 hour drive from Bwindi. Arrive and check in at your lodge or camp within the park. After lunch, embark on an afternoon game drive to explore the park’s diverse ecosystems and wildlife, including elephants, lions, and buffaloes. Return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 4: Game Drive and Boat Safari in Queen Elizabeth National Park
Begin your day with an early morning game drive, where you can search for predators and other wildlife in the park’s varied landscapes. After the drive, return to your lodge for breakfast. In the afternoon, enjoy a boat safari on the Kazinga Channel, which offers excellent opportunities to see hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of bird species. Enjoy a leisurely cruise and take in the stunning scenery. Return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 5: Departure from Entebbe
After breakfast, you’ll drive back to Entebbe. Depending on your flight schedule, you may have time for a brief visit to the Entebbe Botanical Gardens or a local market. Transfer to Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight home.
